CicaRelief Serum by Real Barrier

I've enjoyed using the CicaRelief Serum by Real Barrier. Centella asiatica (shortened is Cica) is an herb native to some parts of Asia and Africa. It is also known as Gotu Kola, Indian Pennywort and Tiger Grass. Interestingly, tigers rub this plant on their wounds to help their skin regenerate. The leafy green herb has been used for centuries to treat wounds. Researchers found that Centella Asiatica extract is used in the healing of incisions and burns. There are many amino acids and vitamins in Centella Asiatica (including beta-carotene, fatty acids, and phytochemicals, including vitamins C, A, B1, and B2). Together they can help stimulate collagen production. 50% of this product is Centella Asiatica. Additional ingredients: Madecassoside, Allantoin and Panthenol, which assist in calming skin irritation. Hyaluronic Acid, which attracts moisture to the skin. It has calming Calamine in it. It has patented Ceramide 3 in it (for long lasting hydration). The product is dermatologist tested and free from 20 ingredients known to be harmful to the skin. I read that you want to look for a product to be left on the skin with Cica in it, not washed off. This product accomplishes that. The packaging is attractive and love the pink color of the serum. It has an almost imperceptible baby powder smell. I love the pump top, which is different from other squeeze bottle serums. It pulls the serum into it and then releases it with a button. Genius! I’ve enjoyed using the Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 40. It has a 100% Mineral formula. It has a super light feel to it. It is not slimy or greasy, like many sunscreens. It is unscented. It has a fancy tilted triangular pump top. I like that it is broad spectrum (including protection from blue light). It hydrates, protects against free radical damage from the sun and is water resistant for 80 minutes! Wow! It has a ceramide complex which strengthens the skin barrier, Vitamin E which provides antioxidant benefits, 17% Non-Nano Zinc Oxide which acts as a physical sunscreen against sun damage, Tasmannia Lanceolata Leaf Extract which reduces redness by calming the skin and Ectoin which provides protection against pollution induced skin damage. It has a high rating of PA++++ meaning it offers a high amount of UVA and UVB protection. I appreciate that it is: Paraben-free, sulfate-free and phthalate-free. It is safe for sensitive skin. I’ve enjoyed using the VELY VELY Artemisia Return Ampoule. Artemisia is a popular newer ingredient in Korean skincare. It acts as an antioxidant and a collagen stimulator. It contains Vitamin C, A and E. Combined these vitamins brighten, protect, renew, regenerate and help the skin retain moisture. The flavonoids help improve blood circulation. I used the product after cleansing and toning my skin. Even though ampoule ingredients are highly concentrated, I haven’t noticed any side effects from using it twice a day.
